⛳ জীবনের লক্ষ্য: স্বপ্ন আর দৃঢ় সংকল্প
বন্ধুরা, সফল যাঁরা, কেমন তাঁরা—এ প্রশ্ন অনেকেরই। তুমি যদি কোনো সফল ও আদর্শ মানুষের জীবনের ইতিহাস চর্চা করো, দেখবে, শৈশবেই তাঁর মনে একটা স্বপ্ন বাসা বাঁধে। স্বপ্নটাকে সত্যি করার জন্য একটা দৃঢ় সংকল্প থাকে তাঁর। আর প্রতি পদে-পরিস্থিতিতে স্বপ্নটা তাঁকে স্মরণ করিয়ে দেয় লক্ষ্য ছোঁয়ার কথা। আর কারও নয়, নিজের সত্যি গল্পটাই তোমাদের শোনাতে পারি।
বয়স তখন সবে ১০। তখনো কিন্তু আমরা বিদ্যুত্ পাইনি। মনে আছে, সন্ধ্যা নামলে কেরোসিনের প্রদীপ জ্বালিয়ে পড়তাম। সেই কেরোসিন ছিল রেশন কার্ড দিয়ে কেনা! আমি তখন পড়ি পঞ্চম শ্রেণীতে। শ্রী শিবাসুব্রাহ্মনিয়া ছিল আমাদের সবার পছন্দের শিক্ষক। একদিন তিনি ব্ল্যাকবোর্ডে উড়ন্ত একটা পাখির চিত্র আঁকলেন। পাখিরা কীভাবে ওড়ে, উড়তে উড়তে কী করে তারা পথ পাল্টায়, তিনি তা শেখাচ্ছিলেন। ২৫ মিনিটের ক্লাস। এরপর তিনি জানতে চাইলেন, ‘বুঝতে পেরেছ?’ আমি দ্বিধাহীনভাবে বললাম, ‘না’। ক্লাসের অনেক ছাত্রই বলল, ‘বুঝতে পারিনি’। স্যার কিন্তু রাগলেন না। বরং বিকেলে আমাদের নিয়ে গেলেন রামেশ্বরাম সমুদ্রসৈকতে। জলের কলতান আর পাখিদের কিচিরমিচির গান, ওহ! এখনো ভুলতে পারিনি সেই সন্ধ্যার স্মৃতিটা। লেজ বাঁকিয়ে ডানা ঝাপটে পতপত শব্দে কী সুন্দর উড়ছে পাখিরা। কী আশ্চর্য, যেদিকে মন চাই সেদিকেই উড়ছে তারা। ‘বলো তো বন্ধুরা,’ স্যার জানতে চাইলেন, ‘ওড়ার জন্য পাখিদের ইঞ্জিনটা কোথায়?’ কিছুক্ষণ পরে আঁধার নেমে এল, কিন্তু আমরা এরই মধ্যে জেনে গেছি, পাখিরা ওড়ে নিজ জীবন আর ইচ্ছাশক্তির প্রেরণায়।
সন্ধ্যায় বাসায় ফিরলাম উড়ু উড়ু মন নিয়ে। বাড়ির উঠানে দাঁড়িয়ে তারাদের দিকে তাকিয়ে মনে মনে ঠিক করলাম, বিমান-বিজ্ঞানী হব। পরের দিন স্যারকে গিয়ে বললাম, ‘স্যার, কীভাবে আমি বিমান-বিজ্ঞান সম্পর্কে আরও জানতে পারব?’ তিনি বললেন, ‘আগে অষ্টম শ্রেণী শেষ করো। তারপর হাই স্কুলে যাবে। এরপর যেতে হবে ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং কলেজে। যদি তুমি সব ক্লাসেই ভালো করো, তবেই তোমার স্বপ্ন সত্যি হবে।’ কলেজে পদার্থবিজ্ঞান নিয়ে পড়ার পর আমি মাদ্রাজ ইনস্টিটিউট অব টেকনোলজিতে অ্যারোনটিক্যাল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিংয়ে পড়াশোনা করি। নিরন্তর শ্রম সাধনায় হয়ে উঠলাম একজন রকেট ইঞ্জিনিয়ার ও প্রযুক্তিবিদ। সেদিনের দেখা স্বপ্নটা আমার এভাবেই সত্যি হলো।
বন্ধুরা, তোমরা কামারশালায় গেলে দেখবে, কীভাবে আগুনে লোহা গলিয়ে নির্দিষ্ট ছাঁচের হাতুড়ি বানানো হয়। ঠিক একইভাবে তোমার জীবনের লক্ষ্যটাকে নির্দিষ্ট করতে হবে। স্বপ্ন দেখো আর দৃঢ় সংকল্প আঁকো মনের মধ্যে।
⛳ চাই জ্ঞান চর্চা
মনের কোণে শুধু স্বপ্ন আঁকলেই তো হবে না। চাই নিরবচ্ছিন্ন জ্ঞান আহরণ। তা ছাড়া স্বপ্ন কখনোই সত্যি হবে না। জ্ঞান তোমাকে মহান করবে। জ্ঞান তোমাকে সফলতার দ্বারে ঠেলে নিয়ে যাবে। কাজ করার সময় নানা সমস্যা দেখা যাবে। কিন্তু মনে রাখবে, সমস্যা যেন কোনোভাবেই তোমার ওপর গুরুগিরি করতে না পারে। সমস্যাকে পাশ কাটানোর চেষ্টা করবে না। সমস্যার সমাধান করেই এগোতে হবে তোমাকে। দেখবে সাফল্যরা কেমন সূর্যের মতো, তারাদের মতো তোমার চারপাশে ঝিলমিল করবে।
⛳ কঠোর পরিশ্রম
লক্ষ্যে পৌঁছানোর জন্য অবশ্যই কঠিন পরিশ্রমী হতে হবে। অর্জিত জ্ঞানকে কাজে লাগাতে হবে। সময়ের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাশীল হতে হবে। আমার জীবন থেকে বুঝেছি, কেউ যখন কোনো স্বপ্ন পূরণের জন্য সচেষ্ট হয়, তার মনে এক ধরনের জেদ তৈরি হয়। ফলে তার কাজের ক্ষমতা ও দক্ষতা বাড়ে। স্বপ্ন আর কাজের মাধ্যমেই তৈরি হয় মেধা। মনে রাখবে, তুমি যতই বিশেষজ্ঞ হও না কেন, তোমাকে অবশ্যই প্রশিক্ষণের মধ্যে থাকতে হবে। কারণ, অনুশীলনের বিকল্প কিছু নেই। স্বপ্ন যদি পূরণ করতে চাও, তোমার যত শক্তি তার সবটুকু প্রয়োগ করার জন্য প্রস্তুত থাকতে হবে।
⛳ ব্যর্থতা জয় করার সাহস
তুমি যখন কোনো লক্ষ্য পূরণের জন্য কাজ করবে, দেখবে সেখানে অনেক ধরনের সমস্যা আসবে। হয়তো সমস্যার সমাধান করতে পারছ না। নিজেকে ব্যর্থ মনে হতে পারে। তোমার মনে হবে, আর বুঝি সম্ভব না। কিন্তু সত্যিকারের সফল যারা, তারা ব্যর্থতাকে ভয় করে না। বরং তারা জানে, ব্যর্থতাকে জয় করেই এগোতে হবে। ব্যর্থ হলে প্রথমেই ধৈর্য ধরতে হবে। মনে রেখো, পরিস্থিতি সামলাতে হবে নিজেকেই। এ জন্য দরকার সাহস।
⛳ নিজের সঙ্গে প্রতিযোগিতা
পৃথিবীতে কেউ শ্রেষ্ঠ হয়ে জন্মগ্রহণ করে না। এটা একটা প্রক্রিয়া, যার মধ্য দিয়ে একজন ব্যক্তি বা প্রতিষ্ঠান কিংবা একটা জাতি নিজের সর্বোচ্চ শক্তি দিয়ে শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব অর্জন করে। সফলদের একটা স্বপ্ন থাকে। সেই স্বপ্নের পেছনেই তারা ছোটে। আগে থেকেই তারা প্রস্তুত থাকে যেকোনো ঝুঁকি মোকাবিলা করার জন্য। ব্যর্থ হলে তারা ভেঙে পড়ে না। বরং নতুন উদ্যমে কাজ করে যায়। নিজের সর্বোচ্চ শক্তি দিয়ে সংগ্রাম চালিয়ে যায়। তারা কারও সঙ্গে প্রতিযোগিতা করে না। কিন্তু তারা নিজেদের সঙ্গেই প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা করে। গতকাল যতটা কাজ করেছে আজ তার চেয়ে বেশি কাজ করে। আর প্রতিজ্ঞা করে, আজ যা কাজ করেছে তার চেয়ে বেশি কাজ করবে আগামীকাল। তুমিও তা-ই করো। এভাবেই শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব আসে। এভাবেই স্বপ্ন হয় সত্যি।
